CaféTico accepts quote requests for lawn maintenance and seasonal cleanup in Kirkland. A property assessment helps identify the areas needing regular care, the likely leaf volume and the best way to organize the material produced.
Each municipality sets its own rules. Rules and collection calendars summarized from official municipal pages reviewed on October 9, 2026. They change, so confirm the rules for your address and work date before scheduling.
For autumn work, a staged approach can keep entrances and lawn areas manageable while trees continue shedding. A final visit can then address remaining accumulations before winter.
Tuesday organic-waste collection
Kirkland collects organic material, leaves and green waste on Tuesdays from 7 a.m. Place the brown bin out after 6 p.m. Monday or before 7 a.m. Tuesday, and put it away by the end of Tuesday. Use the Town’s accepted containers for surplus material; plastic bags do not qualify simply because they are labelled compostable. Kirkland organic materials, leaves and green waste
Gardening-equipment hours
The published nuisance bylaw sets hours for leaf blowers, lawnmowers and similar mechanical, electric or pneumatic tools: weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A battery-powered tool remains subject to those hours. Reducing the amount collected
Suitable grass clippings and small amounts of shredded leaves can be retained where they benefit the lawn. Heavy accumulations, litter and material unsuitable for reuse should be handled separately. Before a large cleanup, establish whether municipal collection can accommodate the material or whether another arrangement is required.
Every service can be requested across Montréal Island, including its independent municipalities. Quotes and schedules follow an assessment. Not sure if you are covered? Send your postal code and we will confirm.
