How the plant finder works
Choose Browse photos to explore the illustrated entries. Each image links to its source and licence. Additional photo-reference cards document the photographed species, with growing conditions, local planting restrictions and availability still to assess. They are kept separate from supplier listings and researched growing profiles.
The library holds a small set of researched reference plants, some researched cultivar profiles and a much larger catalogue-only list. Researched plants can be recommended when your answers fit. Catalogue-only plants have no verified growing traits, so they can be searched, compared and added to a quote request for assessment, but they are never presented as a good match.
Whatever you leave as “unknown” stays unknown. If you ask for a trait we have not verified for a plant, such as salt tolerance or native status, that plant is listed under checks to complete instead of being counted as a fit. Mature size uses the larger end of the published range, and a few older cultivars are flagged because they can outgrow their nominal size.
Cultivars, trained forms and trade names are kept distinct. Choosing a requested nursery format records the catalogue code and format in your plan; confirming stock, size and price is part of the quote.
