We do not publish prices, because every estimate is written for the property. This page explains what shapes an estimate so you can arrive prepared and compare fairly.
What shapes an estimate, by type of work
| Work | What shapes the estimate |
|---|---|
| Cleanups | Yard size and condition, volume of leaves and debris, garden beds to clear, access, and how the material is handled (left for collection, bagged, or taken away). |
| Sod and planting | Size of the sod area, number and type of plantings, materials needed, access and the condition of the ground. |
| Garden renovation | Size of the area, the design and planting wanted, materials, access and the condition of the ground. |
| Recurring care | The property, the scope in writing, the visit frequency and access. |
| Commercial and condo | Number and size of properties, services in scope, frequency, reporting and access; recurring, seasonal and project work are kept separate. |
What helps us give a clearer estimate
- Two or three photos of the area, and a wide one showing access
- Approximate measurements, or “I don’t know” (we measure during the assessment)
- Your priorities: essential, would like, later
- Gates, stairs, locked entrances, and where material can be gathered
- Whether your timing is flexible
The project planner collects all of this in a few minutes, and the area tool helps with measurements.
Payment terms, as already published
- A 30% deposit is required for garden-bed, mulch, sod and planting projects that involve material purchases. Any different arrangement appears in your estimate.
- Routine mowing and recurring maintenance do not require a deposit unless expressly agreed in the estimate.
- Final invoices are payable within seven days of being sent.
- Cancellation and refund terms for installation projects are on the sod page; your statutory rights apply.
What a good estimate should name
- The tasks included, and what is not
- How material is handled, if relevant
- What is recurring, seasonal or a separate project
- Which additional work needs your approval first
