A mowing schedule should fit the lawn rather than force it into the same pattern all season. Before choosing weekly, bi-weekly or one-time service, describe the current condition, the result you want and how much you would like to manage yourself.

Espace pour la vie’s mowing guidance recommends removing no more than one-third of blade length in a cut. It describes more frequent mowing during active growth and potentially less frequent mowing in summer. Actual growth matters more than choosing one interval for every condition.

When to discuss weekly visits

If the lawn grows noticeably between visits, ask whether weekly service fits the site. Mention recent gaps in maintenance and send a photo that shows the grass height. A schedule for a regularly maintained lawn may not suit an overgrown first visit.

When to discuss bi-weekly visits

Ask whether a longer interval will still fit the observed growth and your expectations. Explain whether you can handle any work between visits. Do not choose an interval solely because its per-visit price looks lower; compare the expected work and result over the same period.

What to clarify beyond the mowing interval

• Which lawn sections are included?
• What edging or trimming is part of the scope?
• What happens to clippings and debris on hard surfaces?
• How are rain delays and inaccessible gates handled?
• What changes if the first visit requires more work?
