Meet the Team
Arham Hosain– Co-Founder & Creative Director
Behind every great brand is someone who sees the vision before anyone else does — that’s Arham. As Café Tico’s Head of Design, Arham is the creative force who built our visual identity from the ground up. From our logo to our cups, our stickers to our packaging, every detail you see has passed through his hands and his imagination.
With a sharp eye for aesthetics and a passion for storytelling through design, Arham has shaped Café Tico into more than just a coffee brand —he’s made it a feeling. His work captures everything we stand for: warmth, quality, and a deep connection to where our coffee comes from.
When the brand needed a voice, Arham gave it a face.
Ruben Charry– Founder & CEO
Café Tico didn’t start in a boardroom. It started with a memory — the smell of fresh coffee on the farms of Colombia, where I was born and where my story begins.
I immigrated to Canada at a young age, but I never left those roots behind. I carried with me a deep love for the coffee that defined my childhood, and a quiet frustration that Canadians were settling for less than the best. So I did something about it.
I built Café Tico from nothing — no blueprint, no safety net — driven by one simple idea: bring the finest Arabica beans from the peaks of Colombia and Costa Rica directly to Canadian hands, with full transparency, real fairness to the farmers who grow them, and a genuine commitment to giving back through Pollitos de Hierro.
This isn’t just a business to me. It’s personal. Every bag of coffee we sell is a bridge between the country that shaped me and the country that raised me — and proof that great things happen when you refuse to compromise on quality or purpose.
Benoit Van Hyfte– Co-Founder & Head of communications
Some people find coffee. Benoit grew up with it — raised on the farms of Québec, where hard work, good food, and community aren’t just values, they’re a way of life. That upbringing is exactly what he brings to Café Tico every single day.
As our Head of Communications, Benoit is the voice of the brand — in both of Canada’s languages. From the very beginning, he’s been in the trenches with us, helping shape not just how we talk about our coffee, but who we talk to. His deep roots in Québec culture give him an instinct for authentic storytelling that no agency could replicate, and his fluency in French and English means no customer, partner, or market ever feels like an afterthought.
In a bilingual country selling a product built on human connection, having Benoit in your corner isn’t just an advantage — it’s essential.
